Desert Music Project (DMP) is a Tucson-based, instrumental duo comprised of Jake O’Rourke (he/him), and Daniel Woodruff (he/him).
DMP plays all original music inspired by the Sonoran southwest. This genre-bending, string-playing band has music available on all streaming services!

What's your favorite venue to play in Tucson?
Our favorite venue to play at has been Hotel McCoy! We love the vibez and amazing people!

What's your first memory as a musician?
First musical memory for Jake is his grandmother singing on walks to Himmel Park. Daniel’s first musical memory is listening to Dixie Chicks as a kindergartner.
What's your favorite song to perform?
Jake’s favorite song to perform is "Brown Liquor." Daniel’s favorite song to perform is "Crossroads!"
What's the best advice you've ever received?
Have as much fun at practice as you do at the performance!
