he/him/his
Teaches: Piano
Francis Ambrico has been studying piano since he was five years old and while his main experience is with classical piano performance and interpretation, he also has studied ragtime, rock, and some jazz.

His main teachers were Louis Colonna, Neil Edelburg, and Alessandra Tiraterra; taking in depth instruction specializing in Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionistic music.

Francis competed annually in the Mid Atlantic Music Teachers’ Guild competitions and placed in both the closed and open categories, with many of his students doing the same throughout his years teaching.

He has experienced gigging locally in New Jersey, mainly playing ambient party music, but has also contributed on film scores, and with local bands in the Raritan area when synth/piano players were needed.

Lastly, Francis minored in Music at Rutgers University with an emphasis on classical theory analysis and music history. In his lessons, he tries to incorporate the biographical backgrounds of the composers he teaches to emphasize the stylistic specifications of the pieces being studied.
"I want my students to feel the same passion for the music that I do!"
